Red-skinned bloodsucker,
Swallows Aboriginals,
Victims left shrunken.
Preying on the indigenous peoples of Australia, the Yara-Ma-Yha-Who has an excellent name but a sinister nature existing as an obnoxious parasitical pest in Aboriginal folklore. Described as being a diminutive figure with a huge toothless mouth and red skin, the creature is believed to drain the blood of its victims using the suckers on its arms. Having weakened the unfortunate passer-by, the Yara-Ma-Ya-Who then proceeds to swallow them, take a rest and then regurgiatate them later. All those subjected to this unusual ordeal end up with skin that is slightly 'more red', shrivelled and smaller than their original size. Basically, the Yara-Ma-Yha-Who is a badly-behaved, bizarre monster lurking in the Australian bush waiting to suck and shrink you; a red peril that treats its victims rudely and reduces them to ridicule.
